I ecspecially like the quote "Curriculum is not delivered, milk is delivered" that is hilarious at the same time very serious and true. Curriculm should be taught and learnt by the child not delivered and drunk.
ReplyDeleteI also like the quote, "It's not all about you...take ego out and do what is best for the child." Some people have their own self interest at heart when teaching or caring for children.
Thanks for sharing
Like Mr. Hernandez my passion comes from wanting to make a difference. I cannot change the world; but I know if I try I can make a difference in the life of the children in my classrooom. In the early childhood field we are in fact planting seeds though we may not see it fruition.
DeleteDenise,
ReplyDeleteI really like your quotes. The one by Socrates stuck with me the most. I recently attended an Alignment Institute meeting and one of the speakers spoke of a Nobel prize winner who stated that he owed his win to his mother who constantly asked him if he asked a good question at school that day... The Socrates quote reminded me of the story.
